Rotary brings together a global network of volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world's most pressing humanitarian challenges. Rotary is a non-sectarian and non-political organisation connecting over 1.2 million members from more than 200 countries.
Rotarians impact lives at both local and international levels, from helping families in need in our own communities to working towards a more secure society based on world understanding and peace. We contribute as much time as we each can afford, our energy and passion to sustainable, long term projects in local communities across the globe.
There are some 55,000 Rotarians in Great Britain and Ireland in more than 1,850 clubs. We meet on a regular basis so that we get to know each other and build firm friendships.
Cardiff Bay Rotary meets on Tuesday evenings at Novotel in Cardiff Bay. We have a meal together, followed by a talk or presentation. Every six weeks we manage our service projects. We have an active social programme, with a variety of events to entertain ourselves, our partners and friends.
Currently we have 30 members, men and women with experience in a range of occupations. Our common bond is that we want to give something back to society and to have fun doing so. We make use of everyone's experience, skills and talents to undertake projects which benefit those in need, locally and in the wider world.
Would membership of Rotary be right for me?
If you would like to get involved in a friendly, active and purposeful organisation, and;
- you believe that helping others is more important than your own self interest,
- you enjoy informal contact with like-minded people, and,
- you want to help those less fortunate than yourself at home and abroad..
…then the answer could be YES !
To find out more..
Membership is by invitation and we encourage those who would like to find out more to come along to one of our meetings without obligation on either side.
